Ed works closely with prospective and existing clients to understand their goals and develop a strategy for achieving them. He also oversees business operations and chairs the financial planning committee.
Ed began his career as an accountant having earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and then a Masters in Accountancy in Accounting and Finance (MAcc) from the University of Denver before making the transition into financial planning more than 15 years ago. In addition to the knowledge of accounting and tax codes that he learned throughout his educational and professional career, Ed maintains the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ (CFP®) certification.
Ed was born in Kiev and moved to Denver with his family when he was five. He left the cold mountain air of Colorado in favor of the California sun more than fifteen years ago and currently lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife, Kelly, and their twin boys, Beckett and Hayden.
Ed and Kelly enjoy the outdoors and spend a lot of time at the beach or going on hikes in the hills around Los Angeles. Ed is an active member at the Jonathan Club. He and Kelly love animals and Ed is a frequent contributor to various humane societies.

Chris works closely with existing clients in making sure their planning adapts to their changing circumstances. He sits on the financial planning and investment committees, and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial planning and client service processes. Chris also oversees internal team development and growth.
Chris has more than a decade of financial planning and client relationship experience. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles and holds Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses. He maintains the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification.
Chris grew up in Vienna, Austria, and moved to Northern California for high school. He came to Los Angeles to attend UCLA, met his LA-native wife, Lindsay, and never left. They live in El Segundo with their daughters, Kate and Eliana. They enjoy traveling, especially out of the country, and are actively involved in their faith community.
Kennia services our clients in a variety of areas, as well as managing the office. She also acts as our director of first impressions, welcoming visitors to our office with her lovely southern charm.
A recent transplant from Kentucky, Kennia and her husband, Scott, live on the beach in Redondo and enjoy their nightly walks along the coast, never missing a chance to head down to the beach.
Director of Financial Planning and Investment Analysis
Mollie is responsible for the creation of all financial plans and investment analyses. She also sits on the financial planning and investment committees.
Mollie brings with her extensive experience from both Bernstein Global Wealth Management and Credit Suisse, where she handled a broad range of planning and client service responsibilities. She has an MBA from Pepperdine University, and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
After many years of working in social service, Mollie decided to take her passion for finance and desire to help others and channel it into the world of financial planning. Originally from the DC area, Mollie moved to Los Angeles in 2003 and currently lives near Culver City. She enjoys camping and hiking with her dogs, rock climbing, and sampling good food and wine. She is also actively involved with Heart of Los Angeles and the Ventura County Community Foundation.
Investment Operations Manager
Shane is part of both the investment operations and financial planning groups. He works directly with clients in the process of account opening and helps in the creation of planning analyses.
Shane graduated from Occidental with a degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Born in California, but raised in Massachusetts, Shane has moved back and forth between the two a few times before finding himself in Los Angeles for good two years ago. He lives in Hollywood and hikes or runs with his dog daily. His other passions include golfing, sailing and lacrosse.

Sarah advises existing and prospective clients, partnering with them to understand their goals and develop strategies for achieving them. She also sits on the financial planning committee and contributes to our broader organizational strategy.
Sarah's first career was in retail real estate development, which brought her from Chicago to Southern California where she made the transition into financial planning. She joins Strategic View Advisors from a private practice at Ameriprise, bringing with her extensive financial planning and client relationship experience. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Purdue University and a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles. She maintains the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification and holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses.
A born and bred Midwesterner, Sarah frequently returns to visit her large family. Here in Los Angeles, she and her wife Maureen enjoy exploring different neighborhoods, usually on foot, and play ice hockey which helps them remember what winter is. Sarah is a regular blood donor for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, and cares deeply about economic empowerment and enabling others to be the best versions of themselves.

Rhodes works in our investment operations department, helping clients in a wide variety of ways, including opening new accounts, transferring funds, and making changes to beneficiary arrangements.
Rhodes graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business Administration, and is enjoying putting his operations experience from a technology startup to use in the financial services industry. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Born and raised in Orlando, Rhodes traveled west for college and never left, currently residing on the west side of Los Angeles. He enjoys surfing, camping, and live music, and combines his passion for service and travel through service trips throughout the Caribbean, as well as Central and South America. Despite being far from home, he is family-oriented, and takes great pride in his younger brother, who is currently working his way through the Colorado Rockies minor league system.

Fabio oversees all aspects of investment operations and is responsible for rebalancing, trading, and money movement and is the primary contact for all questions relating to account opening and maintenance. He also chairs our investment committee.
Fabio joins us with a decade of experience in the financial services industry, including time at an RIA and as a branch manager for Scottrade, and brings with him extensive experience in portfolio management and investment operations. He attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he earned a degree in economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and holds the Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses.
Fabio’s parents immigrated from Italy to Los Angeles where he was born and raised. He currently lives in West Hollywood and enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with his family.

When it comes to investing, knowing what to expect is crucial. Here are some things to keep in mind as we move forward together…
The single biggest risk to a portfolio is the investor. Markets will rise and fall, economies will grow and crater, black swan events will occur. How investors react to these events, rather than the events themselves, will ultimately determine the level of success within the portfolio. We’ll be there to guide you.
Success in investing is measured by the plan. Investors can be tempted to focus exclusively on rate of return, but a successful portfolio is one that is in line with a financial plan and the goals stated in that plan. We will always remind you that the plan should dictate the structure of the portfolio, rather than an arbitrary target return.
The financial news media will in no way provide insights as to asset prices. It will, however, increase levels of stress and panic. Their explanations will sound good and provide false order for what is often random. We will present facts, not opinions.
Studies show that market timing is not a successful long term approach. At some point, many investors will want to follow a hunch rather than follow a process. We will remind you of the pitfalls of such a strategy.
Our investment strategy is not exciting. Our clients will not have any cocktail party fodder within their portfolios to regale their friends with. That doesn’t mean the portfolio is not working. A portfolio is working if it is in line with a financial plan and the goals stated in the plan. We will always remind you that the plan should dictate the structure of the portfolio.
Even the most logical of investors can get caught up in emotion. By design, asset allocation means certain portions of the portfolio will be outperformed by other portions. At any given moment, investors can find themselves in love with one portion of the portfolio and unhappy with another. This can lead them to want to change tactics. We will take the long view and stand firm.
Portfolios decrease in value. Hindsight is always 20/20, and downturns always seem so obvious in retrospect. Invariably someone else “got out” just in time (though they will inevitably miss the run up when the market turns around). We will hold your hand and keep you on the track to successfully accomplishing your goals.
Volatility is easily confused for risk. Equities markets are exceptionally volatile. That is why, historically, they have produced a better return than bonds and cash. Money is purchasing power and in the absence of volatility purchasing power will eventually whittle away. We will encourage you to embrace the volatility.
While rarely obvious in the heat of the moment, investors can easily let their emotions guide their actions even if those actions run counter to an agreed upon framework. This may feel right and may even help the short run, but such behavior more often than not leads to diminished long term returns.
